What's New in EFS Employee 7.0

After the considerable enlargement of EFS Employee in version 6.0, EFS Employee 7.0 is dedicated to rounding off various important functions, implementing additional possibilities to automate processes and fulfilling several frequent customer wishes.

The most important changes in brief:
  • The replacement of organizational codes by meta names has been completed. Among others, you can now use meta names in the condition editor e.g. for routing.
  • In addition to the standard structure import („Level import“), the import for SAP organizational structures has been made available again - the so-called „linked lists“.
  • Various new features in Org Processor and Action Planner allow the automation of workflows. E.g. when creating new user accounts, you can trigger a dispatch of access data with just a few additional clicks. In Action Planner, it is possible to send reminders automatically before the completion date of an action is reached.

Detailed List of Changes

Meta Names

After the successful introduction of meta names in EFS 6.0, all functions which still relied on the traditional organizational codes have been modified to support meta names.

The condition editor, which is used to define filters, hiding conditions and other dynamic features in questionnaire editor, supports meta names from EFS 7.0 on.

New Import Format: Connected Lists

In EFS 7.0, a second format is available for export and import of organizational structures: the so-called connected list. This format allows to import organizational structures from SAP directly into EFS.

In contrast to the format you’ve so far used in EFS 6.0, the position of the units is defined by naming the parent category in a dedicated column - not by the position of the unit in the file.

New Features in Action Planner

Several new features in Action Planner simplify automation of processes and adaption of the software to the specific needs of your company. Optionally, instead of defining the minimum number of measures globally via the Action Planner settings, you can define them for each individual unit via a user-defined field in the organizational structure. The dispatch of reminders - usually a few days before a measure times out - can be automated.

If necessary, you can define the minimum number of measures for each individual unit of the organizational structure. In future, it will be logged who created a measure, and optionally, you can display this information.

Target Figure Adjustment

The OrgProcessor, the administration interface for all kind of user groups within the company, allows access to the organizational structure(s) of the company. During feedback gathering they could (optionally) view nearly real-time response rates for all their relevant units. Which - in the end - build the base for the reporting.

"The city never sleeps" - and of course organizational structures of company's don't either. In many cases the structure of a huge company could not represent in all detail how their employees were organized within countries, sites, company's, departments, business units/lines or even functions / functional groups. As change happens or information is missing in the beginning, the figures of employees within a department or team have to be adjusted.

With the new target figure adjustment tool, you can modify target numbers if the originally planned participant number and the expected returns of units diverge. This may, for example, happen if staff is transferred, newly added or removed between setup of the survey and field phase. If target figure adjustment is activated, simply enter by how many people the sum of online participants and paper-pencil questionnaire recipients has changed - and N and the return data will be modified accordingly.
