Globalpark, one of the world’s leading suppliers of online feedback software, today announced the release of Version 6 of its software suite. The release represents a further significant advance in the company’s suite of software products for Market Research, Human Resources, Marketing and Customer Relationship Management. “I am delighted to announce this new release which will further boost the efficiency of our more than 1,000 customers as a result of the advances we have introduced for all our products,” said Dr. Lorenz Gräf, Managing Director of the Globalpark group. “Once again, the release focuses primarily on driving forward innovations for each of our products. I am confident that they will set new standards in the Online Feedback sector.” The release date is scheduled for September 2008 and the upgrade is free of charge for licensed customers
A set of Flash-based question types is one excellent example of the innovations featured in the new release. They allow users to integrate visually engaging question types into their online surveys with just a click of the mouse. The question types are fully integrated into the system architecture and no technical modifications are required. They are based on Globalpark’s development philosophy of combining user-friendliness with optimum flexibility. Consequently, users can change the format and content of the question types as required. What’s more, the open development architecture enables more advanced users to develop their own Flash-based question types which can also be fully integrated in the software.
This feature generates a clear competitive edge for customers, as Frank Kleinert, Director Sales, explains: “Using Flash-based question types makes it very easy for our customers to create engaging and visually appealing surveys. Many survey participants have called for greater variety in questionnaire design, and this functionality enables our clients to respond quickly and efficiently to these requests.”
A new user interface, which optimises usability, has also been introduced. For the first time, users will have the option of commenting on functionality in the software directly and offering suggestions for improvement. The new look and content of Globalpark’s Customer Centre web site is designed to share information as well as opinions and suggestions with our clients. In addition to downloads, practical tips and extensive background information on the use of Globalpark’s software products, the website also provides Globalpark’s user community with a structured overview of methodological information and news from the online feedback sector.
In addition to developments affecting all the products in the Enterprise Feedback Suite, the individual software solutions have also been revised and enhanced.
In EFS Panel (the software for managing online panels and conducting surveys), for example, the functions for ensuring the panel quality have been significantly extended. In conjunction with a real-time overview of the panel distribution, the procedure for measuring panelists’ behaviour in surveys and automated checks to prevent multiple registration of participants have been updated to comply with even the most demanding standards. Globalpark assures all customers operating their panel with EFS 6.0 that the software meets the quality criteria of the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research (ESOMAR).
Frank Kleinert explains: “The quality of online panels is a much- discussed topic in the market research industry. The latest developments provide our customers with the best possible insight into the quality and composition of their panels. Real-time evaluations checks enable panel operators to demonstrate the quality of their panel to third parties using defined criteria.”
EFS Employee (Globalpark’s software for planning and conducting employee surveys) also boasts innovative developments. EFS Employee now not only stores contact data on participating employees, details of their division and site, and their position in the company hierarchy – important pre-requisites if results reports are to be generated and distributed automatically – matrix organisations can now also be mapped into EFS Employee as organisation charts. As Frank Kleinert explains: “This is an important innovation because large companies and international organisations are increasingly taking control of the data collection aspect in employee surveys. Globalpark acts as a technical service provider and consultant for large-scale data collection projects in companies with complex company structures. EFS Employee now makes it possible to map projects end-to-end right within the software, which means we are able to offer our customers a technical portfolio that is second to none in the industry.”
The new Globalpark release also incorporates an additional high-security modus for its products, which supplements the company’s tried-and-tested security measures with extra features against unauthorised access. Frank Kleinert explains: “Our customers use Enterprise Feedback Suite as a web-based service. Data security has therefore always been a key element in our technology development. This latest release is based on our many years of experience in data security for market research and large-scale employee survey projects. The high-security mode combines the convenience of web-based access to our software solutions independent of time and place with maximum data security – meeting even the strictest security requirements.” A further step is that Globalpark will obtain BSI security certification for its new computer centre by autumn this year.
